To celebrate the 50th anniversary of such a pivotal moment in history, the SA Mint has launched a special edition 1oz 1967 Proof Krugerrand, which features the original date stamp and a special 50th Mint Mark on the reverse.

The Krugerrand is the most widely traded gold bullion coin in the world and is sought-after by investors from around the world. The obverse depicts the bust of President Paul Kruger by artist Otto Schultz and the reverse depicts a prancing springbok, originally designed and engraved by the famous South African sculptor Coert Steynberg.

The obverse features a Limited Edition South Africa Reserve Bank Privy Mark
