The reverse of the coin features a hypnotising pattern with black and Gold horizontal lines, creating a three-dimensional effect and the optical illusion of movement. The pattern is interrupted by a beautiful colored zebra seen from above and making a concave trail as it walks through the lines. At the bottom of the reverse, the inscription: “2023” – the year of issue. The obverse of the coin features an abstract pattern at the bottom, transforming into an animalier pattern at the top and symbolizing the camouflage of nature. At the center of the obverse, the Coat of Arms of Palau and the inscriptions: “CAMOUFLAGE OF NATURE” – the name of the series, “REPUBLIC OF PALAU” – the country of issue and “20$” – the face value of the coin.
