Eighty years after the Allied triumph in Europe, Monnaie de Paris honours one of the most defining moments in modern history — Victory in Europe Day (V-E Day) — with the 2025 V-E Day €10 Silver Proof Coin: British Soldier.

This elegant commemorative coin celebrates the courage, resilience, and unity that led to the end of World War II and the restoration of peace across Europe. It follows the acclaimed D-Day 80th Anniversary Collection, concluding Monnaie de Paris’ powerful wartime narrative that spans from the beaches of Normandy to the victory celebrations of May 1945.

The design pays tribute to “Richard,” a private of the 6th Airborne Division, who landed on D-Day, fought through the Battle of the Bulge, and advanced across the Rhine toward liberation. The reverse features the flags of the Allied nations — France Libre, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Australia, the USA, Norway, the UK, Czechoslovakia, Canada, and Belgium — encircling the coin’s face value (10€) and the “RF” monogram.
