A tribute to “Richard,” a private of the 6th Airborne Division who landed on D-Day and fought through Europe until the war’s end. The reverse features the flags of the Allied nations and the “RF” initials, surrounded by stars symbolising the Liberty Road — the path of liberation from Normandy to Luxembourg.

French Soldier

€10 Silver Coin and ¼ oz Gold Coin

Honouring “Léon,” a Second-Maître of the Kieffer Commandos — one of only 177 Frenchmen to storm the beaches of Normandy. His courage in the Battle of Normandy and the Netherlands is immortalised in this design featuring the Allied flags and Liberty Road stars.

American Soldier

Celebrating “James,” an officer of the 1st Infantry Division who landed on Omaha Beach, fought through Belgium, crossed the Siegfried Line, and entered Czechoslovakia by war’s end. His journey reflects the strength of the U.S. forces that turned the tide of the war.

Each coin’s reverse unites the flags of all Allied nations that participated in the Normandy landings — France Libre, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Australia, the USA, Norway, the UK, Czechoslovakia, Canada, and Belgium — encircling the “RF” (République Française) initials. Beneath them, a line of stars symbolises the Liberty Road, honouring the route of liberation followed by Allied forces through France.
